“Viva La Lucha” is a play on words. This statements can be read, “Viva la Lucha,” as in Lucha Libre, or “Viva La Lucha,” as in the struggle. We are looking to make a connection between the Mexican Icon of the Luchadorxs and la Lucha “the struggle”. We are all “Luchadorxs” in our own way. We are all going through our own struggle. To emphasize this play on words, the Luchadora has a tattoo that reads “Libre” which can be tied to “Lucha Libre” or can be read as “free,” indicating she is a fighter for freedom.
